Weihai Mingyang Carbon Fiber Products Co., Ltd. recently achieved a dual improvement in production efficiency and product quality by connecting to this digital platform, becoming a typical case of industrial ecosystem empowering SMEs.

It is understood that the Weihai carbon fiber "industry brain" integrates multi-dimensional data resources such as production monitoring, technology transfer, and supply and demand matching. It has opened data interfaces with leading enterprises such as Guangwei Composite Materials and established a joint technology transfer channel with Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai). As one of the first small and micro enterprises to connect, Mingyang Carbon Fiber achieved two major breakthroughs with the help of the platform: first, by matching raw material supply and demand data, the procurement cycle was shortened by 30%, and costs were reduced by 12%; second, relying on the platform's shared testing standards, the product qualification rate increased from 92% to 98%.

"Previously, it was difficult for SMEs to find technical support and expensive to find high-quality suppliers. Now, the 'industry brain' has become our 'smart steward'," said Wang Zhenjuan, the company's financial manager. She added that the digital production suggestions provided by the platform helped the company optimize the winding process parameters of carbon fiber rods. Currently, the company is leveraging the platform to connect with overseas procurement needs, and is expected to quickly expand into the international market by capitalizing on Weihai's over 60% global market share in fishing tackle.
